A Story About Preparation,
Determination, and Love
Trinity and Logan are respected repeat clients, so I wanted to do something special for their fall photo session. I've always liked the idea of using a white sheet backdrop outdoors, challenge accepted. Armed with two king-size sheets, bungees, clamps, and string, I headed to a park with lots of trees, though admittedly without scouting beforehand. Confidence in my ability to make it work and a solid plan fueled my determination.
Arriving at the park 30 minutes early, I scouted for the perfect spot with two closely spaced trees and a picturesque backdrop. Like McGyver, I secured the sheets with short bungees, tying knots around the corners and wrapping the bungee around the tree trunks, perfect! An unforeseen challenge came up as the wind was blowing the bottom of the sheet. Thinking on my feet, I found a random brick to weigh it down, salvaging my setup. Then, after a couple of test shots I noticed the background wasn't ideal, prompting a swift breakdown, re-scouting, and a successful reset before Trinity and Logan arrived.
Despite the initial hurdles, the session unfolded seamlessly. Trinity and Logan not only loved the backdrop but also cherished the finished images. This experience underscored the significance of meticulous preparation, determination, and adaptability, reinforcing the notion that embracing challenges with creativity and resourcefulness can lead to extraordinary success, arriving early doesn't hurt either.

While incorporating backdrops won't be a regular feature in upcoming shoots, if you have a specific interest in including one for your session, kindly inform me in advance. The success of such setups depends on various factors, so proactive communication ensures a smooth and tailored experience.
I hope you enjoyed the images and this brief story. Until our next session, take care!
